FAQ'S & AFTERCARE

How Many Tape Extensions Will I Need?
The amount of hair required will depend on your natural hair thickness, haircut, and desired result.

50g (20 Pieces / 1 Pack)
Ideal for adding volume and fullness, particularly around the sides of the hair.

100g (40 Pieces / 2 Packs)
Best suited to finer hair types or clients with hair below shoulder length and lighter, layered ends.

150g (60 Pieces / 3 Packs)
Recommended for medium-density hair, particularly for shoulder-length styles or clients seeking additional fullness.

200g (80 Pieces / 4+ Packs)
Suitable for thick to very thick hair, blunt haircuts, or clients wanting maximum volume and length.

If you’re unsure which option is right for you, our team is happy to help with a personalised recommendation.

Will Tape Extensions Damage My Natural Hair?
When professionally applied, maintained, and removed correctly, tape extensions are considered one of the least damaging permanent hair extension methods available.
The key to maintaining healthy natural hair is correct installation, regular maintenance appointments, and following the recommended aftercare routine.

How Do I Choose My Colour?
Each product listing includes a colour chart to assist with selecting your shade.
For the most seamless blend, we recommend matching your extensions to the mid-lengths and ends of your natural hair rather than the roots.
If you’re unsure, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist with colour matching.

Can I Mix Multiple Colours?
Yes.
Many clients choose to combine multiple shades to create a more natural, dimensional blend. Since our extensions are packaged in 20-piece packs, you can easily mix colours to achieve your desired result.

What Texture Are The Extensions?
Our extensions have a naturally smooth finish and are generally straight when first installed.
After washing, they may develop a soft natural wave that blends seamlessly with most hair types. They can be worn straight, curled, and styled as desired, and hold styling exceptionally well.

What Hair Products Should I Use?
It is very important to use salon-quality products on your extensions. However, this does not mean you need to spend a fortune. Any moisture-based products will help keep the hair hydrated, soft, and silky.
Recommended product ranges include:
- Schwarzkopf Bonacure Hyaluronic Moisture Kick Range
- Milk_shake
- (Pink Mask)
- L’Oréal Professional ranges

We also recommend applying a lightweight hair oil through the mid-lengths and ends between washes to maintain hydration and shine.

Avoid products containing sulphates and excessive protein, as these can dry out the hair and may cause irreversible damage to the extensions over time.

How Long Do The Extensions Last?
With proper care and maintenance, our premium hair extensions can last approximately 9–12 months.

Lifespan will vary depending on colour, styling habits, maintenance routine, and aftercare practices.

How Often Is Maintenance Required?
Extensions require maintenance every 8–10 weeks, depending on your natural hair growth.
For best results, maintenance should not exceed 10 weeks between appointments.

Can I Swim With Tape Extensions?
Yes.
We recommend rinsing and treating the hair after swimming to maintain moisture and softness.
Blonde tones should take extra care in chlorinated water, as this may affect the colour over time.

Can I Brush My Hair With Extensions Installed?
Yes.
Regular brushing is essential to prevent tangling and maintain smoothness.
- Use a soft extension-safe brush
- Hold the root while brushing
- Start from the ends and work upward
- Gently separate the tape tabs regularly

Can I Wear My Hair Up?
Yes.
When correctly installed, your extensions should allow you to wear your hair in ponytails, buns, and upstyles without visible tape tabs.

Can I Colour or Bleach My Extensions?
We do not recommend colouring or chemically processing your extensions.
Extensions have already undergone professional processing, and additional chemical services may impact quality, tone, and lifespan.
If you choose to colour them, this is done entirely at your own risk. We recommend testing a small section first and consulting a qualified professional.
